Williamsburg to Yorktown to Williamsburg 30 Miles

Today was 1 one of our Trans-Am adventure. Just a short 30 mile
ride on the "Colonial Parkway" out to Yorktown and back to Williamsburg. The Parkway is just beautiful...it meanders through eastern hardwood forests and rolling countryside. While in Yorktown, we did the traditional rear wheel dip into the Atlantic Ocean. Yorktown, like Williamsburg and The Jamestown Colony, are part of "America's Historic Triangle"...where much of the colonial history and the Revolutionary War history took place and was written. After we did the "wheel dip", and took the requisite million photos, we accepted a lunch invitation from the Yorktown Grace Presbyterian Church. Wow, and as you can see, what a lunch it was! These kind folks have a "bicycle ministry" where they entertain any and all bicyclists with lodging and food. What a concept, huh? Tomorrow we head west...see you soon!

  2. Our leaders this year are awesome! Going out of their way to make our trip so easy. Even constructing a shower at the Willis church...and they even buy the beer!!!
